Kivernall Rd
Kivernall Rd was a bathroom project for a client who has been a customer of Southstreet Builders for the past 25 years. The client had a dated downstairs bathroom suite with a brick-built wall separating the shower.
She came to us wanting to open up the space, allowing more light, and install a wet room with an accessible bath. Our in-house designer started the project and produced various 3D drawings for the client to choose from.
Once work started and the tiles were removed, we discovered the plaster was loose and decided to remove all old plaster and re-new with plasterboard completely; this left a nice flat surface to plaster and paint or tile. We installed a wet room tray, applied tanking membrane and underfloor heating and completed the tiling.
The client is delighted with the results, which exceeded her expectations as the space felt much bigger with the wall removed, the light-coloured tiles installed and minimal shower screens.
